Our Mission

In addition to nurturing the next generation of organic farmers, by growing bioregionally appropriate subtropical crops and properly composting waste products to create fertile soil in the sandy grounds of South Florida, we are modeling a viable transition path for conventional farmers. The polyculture system allows us to grow diverse crops with virtually no inputs. By creating value-added products, we are introducing these lesser-known but extremely valuable and climate change resistant crops to the marketplace. Ex. hibiscus, tulsi, cassava, plantain, moringa, sugar cane.

There seem to be but three ways for a nation to acquire wealth. The first is by war... This is robbery. The second by commerce, which is generally cheating. The third by agriculture, the only honest way, wherein man receives a real increase of the seed thrown into the ground, in a kind of continual miracle, wrought by the hand of God in his favor, as a reward for his innocent life and his virtuous industry.
— Benjamin Franklin
